need help changing main page

I wanted to add a new page to have as a home page and change my blog to a side page, when I try to do this my posts disappear and I dont know how to switch them over to a different page, can you help with this? Also if I can change them will my posts be able to be viewed as a summary instead of the whole article, to make it easier for readers to find other posts? I have tried changing that and it does not change. Thank you.

First, make sure you have set up a menu for your site:
Then, check this page out:
Set a Static “Home” Page (Front Page)
You will create a page and set it as your site’s Front Page. Then, you will create a page to use as your site’s Blog Page.
Finally, you will create a link to the Blog Page in your site’s Custom Menu.

Hi thank you, I already have a blog with 99 post and that is the main page. I didnt know about pages before. Im trying to move that main blog page over to another but it does not show up. When I set up another page all my posts are hidden and do not show up unless I undo the static page. Can you help with that.

Have you already created the Home Page which you want to appear as your main blog page? If so, please send me a link to it.
If you haven’t yet, please create the new front page first. Call it Home (or something of that sort).
Once that is done, you will also create another new page called, Blog (or another title is fine, too!).
Once you’ve saved those two pages, you will go to your Customizer by clicking below:
https://healingtobeme.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?Click Static Front Page.
Where you see, “Front page displays,” you will choose, “A static page.” Once that is complete, make Home your Front page, and make Blog your Posts page.

I also have a problem with my posts not showing up as summaries, I changed it and it still shows the whole article, which makes it hard for people to see all my other posts. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for that, thank you.

Please take these steps:
- Click here to add a new page called Blog:
https://healingtobeme.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=page - Give the page the title, “Blog.” Then, click Publish to save it.
- Then, click below to go to your Customizer:
https://healingtobeme.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php? - Click Static Front Page.
- Where you see “Front page displays” choose “A static page.”
- When asked what page you want for your front page, choose “Healing to be me.”
- When asked what page you want for your blog page, choose “Blog.”
- Click the Save & Publish button.
