Need help changing primary blog name
-
Okay, just figured out how to change the primary domain from fourec.wordpress.com to jamesbushphotography.com. But the problem I’m having now is that “fourec” is still showing up on the top of the page when you go to jamesbushphotography.com and when I go to Domains I’ve changed jamebushphotography.com to the primary, but fourec is still the name that shows up on with the WordPress logo next to it instead of jamesbush24. Help
BTW I’m doing this in order to get ProPhoto installed (which I’ve already purchased) but I’ll get into that later.
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It can take up to 72 hours for a domain to settle down after first setting things up although it is typically less than 24. How soon you will see your blog with the new domain name depends on how often your ISP updates their nameservers.
Now the bad news. Getting a domain name and doing the domain mapping does not magically make all the restrictions here disappear. You still cannot upload themes or install plugins and such. All the same restrictions apply since your site is still physically hosted here. From the domain mapping upgrade support page.
Same Rules Apply – The Domain Mapping Upgrade does not enable the permission to use advertising, any kind of prohibited code, or upload additional themes or plugins. With the upgrade, your blog will still be hosted here at WordPress.com, which means that you will not have FTP access to your files and you will still be required to abide by our Terms of Service.
To use the pro photo theme, you would have to move your site completely off of wordpress.com and self-host it using the software from wordpress.ORG at somewhere like godaddy, dreamhost, etc. Figure an average monthly cost of $10 to $25 depending on bandwidth and storage requirements.
See the following links for more information.

Your blog is redirecting correctly for me and I’m in Canada. Domain name propagation can take up to 72 hours but usually takes far less. We have no control over when DNS caches are cleared.
When a new domain is purchased or when name servers are updated, it can take some time for the change to take full effect (up to 72 hours, but normally much less). http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
You can view that taking place here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/
Also note that on the Admin pages of your blog and on your media URLs what you will continue to see is will be the root blog fourec.wordpress.com URLs. That’s normal.
As for favicon (blavatar – logo) changes once you have uploaded one it can take days to appear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/

I don’t know what ProPhoto is but I do know there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins. Is it a plugin?

Okay guys when using FileZilla once I’ve gone through the process of getting WordPress file downloaded, I don’t have the option of “uploading” it to the remote server once I right-click. Where are I going wrong?

If you read the responses by timethief and thesacredpath, you will see that you still have a blog hosted at wordpress.com, even though it has its own domain name, and as such, you cannot upload plugins. Or anything else (no ftp access).
If you want to be able to use specific plugins, sometimes there are ways to accomplish the same effect but using the existing features of wordpress.com. If there is no work-around and the plug-in is vital to your site, you will need to move your blog to another host. Thesacredpath addressed this in one of his responses.

Please read this carefully > WordPress.COM versus WordePress.ORG:The Differences http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/On this forum we provide support only for those with free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or any themes into them The themes found on the internet are for wordpress.ORG installs which run on different software.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/On free hosted wordpress.COM blogs we can only use the themes which have been coded to run on this multi-user software and made available to us here. > Appearance > Themes and no others.
As thesacredpath stated above to use the Pro Photo theme, you would have to move your site completely off of wordpress.com and self-host it using the software from wordpress.ORG by hiring a web hosting service. See here > http://wordpress.org/hosting/
