Need Help Connecting My Domain to Tumblr – DNS Issue

  Hi WordPress Community,

  I’m experiencing difficulties connecting my domain nininaturesgifts.com to my Tumblr blog, and I’m reaching out here because it’s been almost a week since I contacted Tumblr support, and I haven’t received a response.

  Here’s the situation:

  • The domain was originally purchased via Tumblr, and the name servers are set to WordPress.com (ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com, ns3.wordpress.com).
  • I’ve added the following DNS records on WordPress.com:
    • A Record:
      • Type: A
      • Name: @
      • Value: 66.6.44.4
    • CNAME Record:
      • Type: CNAME
      • Name: www
      • Value: domains.tumblr.com
  • Despite these settings, the domain isn’t resolving correctly. I cannot access my site via www.nininaturesgifts.com, and the root domain isn’t redirecting to Tumblr as expected.

  I’ve double-checked these settings via public DNS tools and confirmed with Namecheap (the registrar) that WordPress.com manages the DNS.

  Can someone guide me on how to ensure my domain works properly with Tumblr? I’d like it to resolve for both nininaturesgifts.com and www.nininaturesgifts.com.
