Dear WordPress team,
I have recently migrated to self hosted and I would like to delete my domain ‘*.packingmysuitcase.com’ from my wordpress.com account (packingmysuitcaseblog.wordpress.com).
I also would like to know if it is possible to transfer my stats to my new domains:
From: packingmysuitcaseblog.wordpress.com/ to http://www.packingmysuitcase.comand
From: packingmysuitcasept.wordpress.com to pt.packingmysuitcase.com
I highly appreciate your help!! :D

Hi there. For staff to transfer your stats to the self-hosted site you must have the Jetpack plugin installed. Please confirm that you have installed that. See here for instructions on installing the plugin: http://jetpack.me/support/
Once you’ve installed and connected Jetpack, add “modlook” to the tags and then wait for staff to respond.

Okay. Just be patient while waiting for staff to respond. Keep in mind it might take a bit longer than usual as it’s the weekend.

Hey there!
I see that you have domain mapping for packingmysuitcase.com, but your domain isn’t registered here. It seems to be working well with your self-hosted site. Would you like me to delete the mapping altogether from WordPress.com?
The Jetpack site I see connected to your account is: pt.packingmysuitcasetest.com
If you are planning on using a different URL for the site, can you please disconnect this site from WordPress.com, and then reconnect using the updated URL? Then, let me know, and I can merge your stats!
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hi there,
Thank you for your response.
I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my jetpack to the other URL (I didn’t really understand why it was still connected to the webspace pt.packingmysuitcasetest.com). However, when reconnecting I saw that I lost all my followers and stats :( what should I do now? I don’t really understand what is going on.
I disconnected from the pt.packingmysuitcase.com
the other one packingmysuitcase.com is still untouched, I am afraid I will also lose everything :(I really need your help! Thank you so much!!

Hey there!
We’ll look into those followers and stats! But, your site still is connected by that old URL, pt.packingmysuitcase.com.
Let’s iron that out, then I can work on those followers for you!
First, I see that you’ve still got domain mapping for packingmysuitcase.com to be connected to packingmysuitcaseblog.wordpress.com. It doesn’t appear as if you’re using that anymore, so why don’t I disconnect it? That domain goes to your self-hosted site anyhow.
After I get your permission (or not) to do this, I am going to disconnect your Jetpack site this time. Then we can work on locating those followers, and connecting your site by the correct name.
Sound good?
Let me know if you have questions, or if you’d like me to start by removing the domain mapping from your WordPress.com site.
Thanks!

HI,
Thank you so much for the quick response.
Yes, you can disconnect it… it is self hosted now :)I don’t know why it is still connected to the url pt.packingmysuitcasetest.com maybe because I just change the url of the pt.packingmysuitcase.com and still need to change the packingmysuitcase.com one. Do you think you can help me with this?
If you remove the domain mapping will it affect my current self hosted website? If not, then yes you can remove it since I won’t be using it anymore, just on the self hosting.
Thank you so much for your help!

Hello there!
All right, I am going to disconnect the mapping from your WordPress.com sites, since you’re not currently using those domain names in conjunction with your WordPress.com sites.
There are two mapping disconnections I will make:
- pt.packingmysuitcase.com disconnected from packingmysuitcasept.wordpress.com
- packingmysuitcase.com disconnected from packingmysuitcaseblog.wordpress.com
Because those domain are connected to self-hosted sites, disconnecting this mapping at WordPress.com won’t impact anything.
I don’t know why it is still connected to the url pt.packingmysuitcasetest.com maybe because I just change the url of the pt.packingmysuitcase.com and still need to change the packingmysuitcase.com one.
I see two Jetpack sites mapped to your WordPress.com account:
- s563851298.online.de
- pt.packingmysuitcase.com
I am going to disconnect them, and have you reconnect them. Once you are done with this, please let me know.
Then, please clarify FROM which WordPress.com site your want me to transfer your followers from, and which Jetpack site you want me to transfer you followers TO.
We’ll get this all settled! Thank you :)

Hi!!!
Ohhh I get it, perfect! Thank you for disconnecting the mapping.I checked both sites and they are connected to jetpack. Did you disconnect and reconnected them?
I went on my WordPress.com and it says that both sites are connected with Jetback. It appears 4 options to me: my 2 old domains from wordpress.com and my 2 self hosted domains (which are connected with jetpack).
Should I still do something? Disconnect and reconnect again?I want to transfer my stats and followers from http://www.packingmysuitcaseblog.wordpress.com to http://www.packingmysuitcase.com
and from http://www.packingmysuitcasept.wordpress.com to pt.packingmysuitcase.com
Thank you so much for your help and so sorry for all the trouble!

It looks like pt.packingmysuitcase.com was connected yesterday. I’ve just disconnected s563851298.online.de because it looks like that disconnection did not go through.
Can you please log into packingmysuitcase.com and reconnect your Jetpack plugin?
Then I can transfer your followers. :)

Fabulous! I see those two sites correctly now and I’ve transferred your followers. :)
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do!
-
Awesome! Thank you!
Could you merge the stats too? Then we are done :)
Thank you so much!!

Hi Alex,
Thank you!! But I meant my old stats, from the entire precious year… I looked at it now and just saw the stats correspondent to my self hosted. Is it still possible to transfer my old stats to the self hosted?
I would like to transfer my stats from:
http://www.packingmysuitcaseblog.wordpress.com to http://www.packingmysuitcase.comAnd
From: http://www.packingmysuitcasept.wordpress.com to pt.packingmysuitcase.com
Thank you so much.
-
Sorry for that confusion. I’ve now merged the stats from packingmysuitcaseblog.wordpress.com into packingmysuitcase.com .
And from packingmysuitcasept.wordpress.com into pt.packingmysuitcase.com .
