need help downloading wordpress

  In March /13, I downloaded WordPress through my course with Chris Farrell et al…On July 9/14, I changed hosting to HostGator. I have been unable to download WordPress and I get lost in the directions. I am a 71 yr. old computer neophyte who needs help…Kindly advise. Thanks.   We cannot assist you with a Hostgator-hosted website. If you want help with that, you need to be at WordPress.ORG.

  If you are downloading WordPress, then you are using WordPress.ORG.

  These forums help with WordPress.COM. This format is very different from wp.ORG. Here is some information about the different flavors of WordPress:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  You can certainly start a blog or site here with wp.COM, but if you are trying to host your site yourself, then you need to make friends with the folks over there: http://wordpress.org/support/
  note that you will need to set up a different username and password to post there.
