need help finding draft revisions

My son was working on a scout project. He was updating the original post and saving drafts along the way. Then something happened and now all his work appears to be gone. This has happened twice now. I’ve taken a look and do not see any reference to saved drafts or revisions. Is there any chance of recovering his edits?

Well we just gave up and started retyping everything. Very frustrating that we could not figure out what happened or how to restore. Maybe the revision option is not available on the free version?

If this happens again, before you do anything else, go to https://wordpress.com/post with the same browser and see if it offers to restore a post. If a restore button appears, that means a local copy was saved in your browser and you may be able to recover it.
If a restore button does not appear when you start a new post, you can try checking for saved drafts at these locations:
https://wordpress.com/posts/drafts
https://wordpress.com/pages/draftsIf you are logged in as the same username you were logged in as when you first wrote the content using the same browser and still cannot find it at any of the links above, it’s possible the content was never saved for some reason. I’m so sorry if that happened!

Revisions work for free as well as paid plans.

I’m sorry this was frustrating. We have been working on an update to autosaves and revisions and that update will be available very soon. Once it is, hopefully this problem won’t happen again for you at all. Apologies again for the frustration!
