Need Help Getting Back Domain Name

    Hello,

    My name is Matthew Karbownik, and I am reaching out to you to see if you can help me get back a domain name I want to use for a website for my company, Artz Graphic Media LLC. 

    For further context, I had originally bought the domain name, artzgraphicmedia.com, for my wordpress.com website, which is artzmedia23.wordpress.com, and then I was hoping to have artzgraphicmedia.com be hosted through Go Daddy. Except where I messed up, was then trying to buy this same domain name off Go Daddy. Since this did not work, I canceled my artzgraphicmedia.com purchase from wordpress.com. Recently, I spoke with someone from Go Daddy, and this person mentioned to me how I could get the name back from WordPress, instead of buying it back through a Go Daddy broker service. 

    At your earliest convenience, let me know what you can do to help me get the artzgraphicmedia.com domain name back to use for my website and we’ll go from there.

    Hi there,

    I can see that you had initially purchased artzgraphicmedia.com then canceled for a full refund. When a new domain is cancelled like this there is a short grace period before it goes on sale again, so you can purchase it soon from any provider you wish.

    If I can ask though, what has prompted your move to GoDaddy? On WordPress.com we have all the functionality that they offer (to install plugins, 3rd party themes, access source via FTP, etc) but with the advantages of our wp-specific managed hosting.

    It is possible to set up a WordPress site on GoDaddy, but it is just one of the many platforms they allow you to install. With this in mind, they do offer support for your hosting and domain configuration questions, but they are not experts in all the platforms they allow you to instal so they don’t typically offer support for your WordPress-specific questions.
