  Hello, I haven an existing domain with GoDaddy. Someone that created the website is no longer available and have to start over from scratch. How do I get started with WordPress?
  I created a new account with similar name to my website and picked basic plan. No information was asked regarding payment plan.

  Please advise, thank you

  Here is a great support page that can walk you through mapping your domain to WordPress.
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
  I am assuming that when you set up your WordPress account/ site it added a free plan, so you will need to have something other than that, but there is a link for that as well within the support page.
