need help getting started

  We already have a wordpress site but it was set up in code by a software engineer and we are unable to make changes. We would like to redo the site using a different theme & setting it up using wordpress’s normal functionality with menu’s and drop & drag etc so we can do updates and edit ourselves. I have admin privileges but how do I begin so i don’t transfer to the new website until it’s completed??

  Hi,

  You can start working on your new site using the free .wordpress.com subdomain and only map or transfer your custom domain once you’re ready. That way your visitors will still access the old web until you decide to launch the new one.
