You are still having trouble or have you managed to sort things out since posting this? Can you tell me a bit more about what you are trying to set up? Are you needing help getting your GoDaddy domain connected so you can officially launch the new site?

It may help if I clarify that there is a DIY version of WordPress that is open-source and does not come with in-house support like we offer here at WordPress.com. Owners of these ‘self-hosted’ WordPress sites may not have support to turn to, but do help each other, often by creating YouTube videos and such.
The issue is that there can sometimes be some platform differences, so if your site is on our managed hosting, what you see on this end may not match what you see in videos created by users of the other variant of WordPress.
