Need help implementing sprite based nav

  • Unknown's avatar

Hey guys. I’m trying to implement a sprite based menu in a twentyeleven child theme. Apoligies if this question is basic but my searching hasn’t been able to yield a solution.

    Here is the site: http://www.samuelmitchelldesigns.com/

The menu is working but the sprite reloads on hover. I have found the solution at this link: http://programming.mvergel.com/2012/11/chrome-reloads-sprite-image-on-css.html

However I don’t completely understand the class system of the theme, and removing background-image from the hover class means the sprite fails to load on hover. I gather I just need to find the right css class to apply the background image in a more heirarchical way but I can’t figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog and we do not provide support for it. You need support for WordPress.org software and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
