Need help importing post

  Hello.
  I want to import a post from one of my wordpress.com blogs to my other wordpress.com blog.
  I have exported the post from Blog1 into a zip file that I downloaded. Then, I imported the zip file to Blog2. I get “Success! File uploaded.”
  What do I do now? All the articles I have found only lead me to this point. I don’t see the post with my other posts or drafts.
  I’m stuck. Thanks for any help!

  What are the URLs of the sites you’re exporting from/to?

  I am exporting from kapowsblog.wordpress.com (https://kapowsblog.wordpress.com/2021/04/13/mothers-day-gift-ideas/) to dotheylikeit.wordpress.com. Thanks!

  Hi there,

  Once the file is uploaded you need to click on the Start the Import button. Are you doing that?

  Thank you. Yes, I did that. It then advances to the “Success! File uploaded” message. I can’t seem to figure out what to do next. The post is not in my drafts or published posts on the second blog.

  For clarification, here are the steps I have done:
  Blog 1: Tools -> Export. Selected author, status (published), start/end date (date of the original post), category. Clicked to Export selected content. Then downloaded the zip file.

  Blog 2: Tools-> Import. Selected file to upload. Chose an author. Clicked Start Import button. Now I see “Success! File uploaded.”

  I just tried the export again using that information and that post is included in the export file. You should have also received an email with another download link.

  Can you try that import again? If it still doesn’t work let us know and we’ll try to do the import for you now that we have an export file to work with.

  Let us know how that goes!

  Thank you. I just repeated everything again. This time, I used the link in the email to download the zip file.

  Thanks for clarifying. I’m not sure what the issue was, but I was able to reset the importer on your site and successfully import content from kapowsblog.wordpress.com to dotheylikeit.wordpress.com
