Need help in inserting new images into my premium site

I very recently upgraded by site with a premium one (salvia).
The header image (mine) is great and I easily got it into the space.
Below the header it shows previous posted articles with plain backgrounds in different colors. I want these plain backgrounds changes with my images. Your example for Salvia illustrates that this can be done.

In order for those blocks to show images, you will need to set a featured image for each post.
