Most of the following links to the support pages were found by searching the support pages.

    1. http://en.support.wordpress.com/uploading-documents/
    2. http://en.support.wordpress.com/polls/
    3. There is no chart function in wordpress. You will have to create a chart in another program and then turn it into a JPG or PNG image and upload that to your site.
    4. The only option for chat here is with Google Talk. See this post by timethief.

    5. Not sure what you are asking for here. Could you explain further please?

    You are welcome.

For news and events, what I would suggest is that you create news and events as categories. You can then put those categories into the navigation for your site using the custom menu feature and when someone clicks on that category name, they will get a listing of just the posts in that particular category. The posts will be arranged from newest at top, to oldest at bottom and the number of posts that will show on the pages you can set at settings > reading in your dashboard. This is a global setting, so all post related pages will have that number of posts, except for the main posts page (typically the home page). The theme you are using has infinite scrolling on that page and will initially show 7 posts, and as the visitor reaches the bottom of that page, another 7 will be automatically loaded until it has loaded all the posts.

The posts in the events and news categories will show along with all posts in all categories on the main page of your site by default, and there is no way to exclude categories from that page. If you do not want the news and events posts to be in the main blog page, then what you can do is to create a static front page for your site and then create also a category for your blog posts that are not in the events or news categories and add that category to your navigation as well.
