need help installing plugins on the blog

    I’ve created a new blog and I haven’t posted anything yet.
    I wanted to install wptouch plugin for my blog first but I can’t see the “add” option in my plugin directory. I can only see pre installed plugins.
    please guide me regarding this issue so I can start posting asap.

    You are confusing wordpress.com hosted sites and wordpress.org software installs.

    There is no FTP access to wordpress.com blogs and no blogger installed plugin capability. Those exist only on wordpress.ORG software installs and no upgrade alters that reality. WordPress.COM hosted sites have some built in plugins.

    No FTP access http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
    No blogger installed plugins http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.     Are you referring to your site at fareforthoughtblog.wordpress.com running Penscratch 2? This is a fully responsive theme that will make your site look good and easy to read on mobile devices. WP Touch is a separate mobile theme that’s not needed on your site, since it’s only intended for older themes that aren’t already responsive.

    Please let me know if there’s anything else you need. Most essential features are already built into WordPress.com, so if there’s something else you’re looking for that you don’t see, just let me know.
