Need help logging in

I need help! I am unable to log into my cpanel to retrieve the ‘forgot password’ login for my wordpress account. I have a current site that I neglected to write down the log-in information when I first set it up (I haven’t logged into this site in over 10 months) and need to know who to contact for wordpress to assist me with logging back into my active site so that I can update it.

We do not offer cPanel as an option on WordPress.com so it sounds like the site you are referring to appears to be a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site hosted on an outside web hosting company Web Hosting, and not a site hosted on our WordPress.com service.
To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and an outside web hosting company also happens to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Because of this we are not able to help with your issue as it lies outside of our system. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.
However, the good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through your host, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
You can ask your hosting company’s support department for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
