Need help moving blog page to interior page without losing followers and posts

Hi. When I started my WordPress site, I was strictly a blogger, but now I’ve extended into freelance writing. I’d like to make a static Home page that viewers see first when they come to my site. I’d also like to move my Blog page (currently the home page) to an interior page /tab within my site. Is there any way to do this without losing posts and followers? When I follow the directions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ there aren’t any directions on how to move the posts and followers over from the current blog page to a new blog page that you set up. I’m TOTALLY hesitant to do this because I’m afraid of losing all of the work I put into the blog page already. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi, It looks like you’ve already made the change. By doing that you haven’t lost posts or caused problems for your followers. It’s just changed the way your content is presented.

Hi there. YES! A friend of mine reassured me that, if I followed the steps in the link mentioned above – that the change would happen automatically. I was very relieved, as there was no mention of this in the info I was able to find online. THANK you for contributing to this… If I hadn’t been able to connect with my friend, I would have not known what to do!

PS – to actually delete a Post – you need to click on a delete button specifically for that Post – usually I do this in the Dashboard >> Posts >> all Posts Page
