Need help on domain?

  I went to this website that this guy owns and it cool because he has a blog he shares with other bloggers and another one that is personal use. The main one is StanceWorks.com and his personal one is Mike.StanceWorks.com but when you click on it. the url changes to StanceWorks.com/Mike. so how can i have my personal with a different url be connected to my main one like his that goes Mike.StanceWorks.com to his main url StanceWorks.com/Mike.
  -Hope that helps and if so how can it be done to do so as example( My.Example.com to Example.com/My )
