Need help on moving to WordPress.com from Bluehost

Two months back I moved my WP.com blog photoartmag.com to Bluehost. The domain is still registered with WP.com.

After moving to Bluehost, I made the mistake of permanently deleting entire content+images of the parent WP.com blog, i.e. photoartmag.wordpress.com

Now I want to move back to WP.com. I miss WP.com’s simplicity, ease of use, and community. My blog isn’t growing outside of it as I’d expected.

I’ve imported the content of Bluehost blog using common export/import function into photoartmag.wordpress.com. My blog contains almost 4000 images. It’s been two days and not a single image has been pulled/imported so far. The posts have been imported successfully.

Moving to WordPress.com is simple as I’ll have to change only the nameservers but I’ll be at great loss if images aren’t imported. The blog presently contains 210 posts with about 20 images in each.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Three days passed and no images transferred.

Still looking for some help or guidance from staff :(

  • Hi there,

Can you please confirm whether the Bluehost site is still online and publicly viewable? If you had used your current domain with that site, you will need to point the domain back to the Bluehost site first before we can attempt to fetch the images for you.
