Need help on wordpress

Hi, I have brought a template file from Pipdig. I went to create my wordpress account and use wordpress and upload my template file but I am just wondering can I not do this without the premium wordpress membership? Need an answer ASAP please x

You are confusing wordpress.COM hosted sites like yours and wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting.
The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
We cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,
or use stylesheets from other themes.There is no FTP access to any wordpress.com sites. See:

Also be keenly aware that you cannot transfer any theme from https://wordpress.com/themes/ which is licensed and adapted to run on WordPress.COM software to a WordPress.ORG site, and visa versa. The answer above is correct it makes ZERO difference whether or not you have an upgrade on the WordPress.COM site or not. There is no FTP access and you cannot upload any third party theme.

thank you for getting back to me. much appreciated. so the template file I have brought from pipdig, can I use that on wordpress.org? and how much does the account cost to create? sorry I am new to all this and just want to do it right first time.

There is no charge for registering a wordpress.org account and the software is free. You pay for hosting and I don’t have a how much answer for that as this is wordpress.COM, not WordPress.ORG.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Okay thank you. So i just need to create a wordpress.org account and download the software then i can upload my pipdig file and start editing my blog?
