Need help putting Facebook and Twitter on my blog

  I am a new wordpress user and I have only one question. How do I put a shortcut to my Facebook/Twitter on my page? I’ve been looking through all the settings and tools but I’m completely at a loss.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The easiest way is to use http://getsociallive.com

  Because this is an independent system, it takes a bit of explaining: it gives you and ALL of your readers the option to post it to their social media accounts, including twitter and FB. YOu need to add the code to each post in the html editor, b ut it’s the simplest, best way in my opinion.

  Hi Sabrinajm,

  you could also log into Twitter, go to Goodies and choose the right logo for you. It will present you with some code that will link from that icon right to your Twitter account.

  Go back into WordPress and add a Text widget to your sidebar somewhere. Paste in the code from Twitter and save it, and there you go! Same deal for Facebook.

  The Twitter badges on the page you indicate are HTML and can be posted on wordpress.com blogs. The Twitter widgets on that page are javascript and cannot be used on wordpress.com blogs as the software will strip out the code. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  If what sabrinajm merely wants is a link to sign in to Facebook then capturing any Facebook image like the Profile page badge and linking to it work.

  If sabrinajm also wants to have his/her Facebook and Twitter accounts auto update when he/she publishes posts then there are other options including the one provided by raincoaster above.

  I have just figured out a way to add a Twitter button in a wordpress.com blog post that will update automatically to display the tweet count right in your blog post! :D
