Need help recovering admin status for my site

    My email changed and now I am unable to login and edit my website. Can you help? How do I contact support? I tried to upgrade my account, but it wants me to start a new website. Just trying to regain access to my existing site.

    Leavenworthalefest.com is my site. I attempted the “Account Recovery” process, but it just tells me to reset password at the end. I am able to login to my account. What I can’t do is edit or publish my website.

    Hello again, I see that your domain is pointing to WPcom nameservers, but don’t find any domain mapping upgrade here.

    Thank you for looking into this. I need to get this site up and live as soon as possible. It seems like I’ve lost my administrative permissions.

    Hi –

    The site owner controls the administrative permissions and other permissions for different user roles. You are listed on the site as a contributor. We aren’t able to grant any additional access to the site.

    Hi Liz,

    I am the site owner, having established the site last year on behalf Icicle Creek Center for the Arts. I was an employee at the time using the email and login associated with (email visible only to moderators and staff). I have since moved to a contract position and no longer have access to that email. Also, no one else at Icicle Creek has (or is aware that they have) administrative access to the site. Can you please let us know who does (possibly Alex Weirich), so that they can provide me with administrative permissions so that we can get the site up and running asap?

    @jamiehowell3828 did you hire a company to create the site for you, and do you still have contact with them?

    Whoever paid for the upgrade that was there briefly should be able to regain access using the account recovery form if needed.

    Hi,

    I’m the other user on the site. I believe Jamie and I both were admins, and I have not done anything to change that. I’m hoping I’m still listed as an admin. I don’t believe there were any other users associated with the site.

    Was there someone who created the site intitially besides you, Jamie?

    alexweirich – You are also only listed as a contributor on the site in question. Neither account which has been used in this thread created the site, or owns the site in question.
