Need Help Recovering My Account

  I created this account quite a while ago, but haven’t been active on it. I tried to login today, and I received a message stating that my userid doesn’t exist. I can however, view the site when I enter the URL.

  I did notice that there is a userid with numbers added to the end or my original username. I can login into this one, but there are no website entries under this.

  Can you help me with this? I do have an original transaction ID for when I first signed up for this account.

  Since you have a transaction ID, you can provide it to us as proof of ownership and we can restore access to your account.

  You can then send it to us through this form:

  Please do not post any transaction details in this public forum. Use the form I linked above.

  Thank you for your reply.

  I tried that form with no luck before submitting my request in this forum. When I filled out the form, I received the following message:

  If you can receive emails at the email address you have provided, you should be able to recover your account by filling out the lost password form with that email address. Please check your spam folder for the reset email.

  If you can’t receive emails at this email address, please use a different contact email and submit this form so we can contact you.

  I then re-submitted it with an alternate email address and had no luck there either. I also checked the spam folder for each of the addresses provided. I also re-tried it just now with the same outcome.

  If you can receive emails at the email address you have provided, you should be able to recover your account by filling out the lost password form with that email address. Please check your spam folder for the reset email.

  To clarify, you are not entering the email address you have listed here are you? https://wordpress.com/me/account/

  If so you will want to use a different email address in the form here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
