need help removing old, unused accounts from my e-mail address

I attempted to sign up to word press using an e-mail account and thought I had failed miserable, but apparently the account was created. When I figured it out, I sent up an account using a different e-mail address, but would like to no remove that from the account and go back to the one I prefer. I have tried doing that, and now get nbotifications to both addresses, but would like to remove the first one from my account.
