Need help removing registered domain name.

    I want to REMOVE my wordpress.com registered domain name (thehatchettimes.com) because I want to self host it. But everytime i transfer it over, to my host monster, it links the wordpress.com version and doesnt allow me to upload wordpress.org. SO…all i want to do is COMPLETELY GET RID OF THE REGISTERED DOMAIN NAME so that I can register it on another site. I need serious help.

    If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers. The nameservers control where traffic for the domain goes using DNS.
