Need help restoring deleted site

    Hi!

    If there is any staff on this forum, could you help me restore merliondreams.wordpress.com?

    I deleted it because I thought I could transfer the domain to another website, but turns out I could not.

    Thank you! I hope you could restore it before it crosses the 30 day mark

    @aleone89 could I know if this website is under my account @limxinquan? (I have multiple accounts but don’t see the restored website in either of them)

    Oh I realised why, I think this website is under my secondary account (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    I closed that account after I closed the website (I was purging accounts since I had too many and it was messy)

    Could you help me restore my account (email visible only to moderators and staff) as well? I believe the website is under that account

    Hi there,
    Oops, looks like we forgot to add you back to the site after we recovered it. Do you see it here now? https://wordpress.com/sites/

    To clarify, merliondreams.wordpress.com has always been under your @limxinquan account and is not on some other account you may have had. The reason it was deleted was because you changed the address of the site from merliondreams.wordpress.com to jhgvghoulbhjubnjin.wordpress.com

    This has the effect of deleting the site with the old name, as explained here: https://wordpress.com/support/changing-site-address/

    Once you change the “example” part of example.wordpress.com, the old address will stop working. Visitors will not be redirected to your new site address. The old address will not be available for use again.

    We do have a grace period where we can sometimes recover the old site address, but generally speaking this kind of change is permanent, so you will want to avoid changing the address of your site unless you are 100% sure you will not need it again

    Could you help me restore my account (email visible only to moderators and staff) as well? I believe the website is under that account

    We are not able to do that here in the public forums, but if you can email us using the email address the account used to be under (which will verify you as the previous owner) we can restore that as long as it is within 30 days of deletion.
