Need help retrieving draft

    I created a draft on 8/18/15 but when I went to the blog tonight to complete it, I was unable to locate it. I searched the forum and tried most of the things recommended to others looking for drafts. I feel sure that I saved it, but since I can’t find it anywhere, I’m wondering if there is any way to retrieve a draft that may not have been saved properly.

    Hi there. Go to the WP-Admin dashboard: http://vbdegnan.wordpress.com/wp-admin

    Click on Posts ->All Posts ->Drafts

    If it’s not there, then the system did not save it and it’s most likely gone. I don’t think there’s anything you can do in that case.

    How did you write the original draft? If you used the mobile app, the draft might still be on your phone/tablet, as the app saves drafts locally, not online.

    Thanks, kokkieh. I did as you suggested but it wasn’t there. Fortunately, I found the paper on which the original was written so I was able to recreate it. I appreciate your help.

    I’m sorry to hear you couldn’t find it. I’m afraid that can happen.

    If I may make a suggestion: especially with longer posts, rather compose them offline in a text editor like NotePad (preferably not a word processor like MS Word – that can cause formatting issues), then paste it into the WordPress editor and just do final formatting there. That way, should the website not save your draft correctly, you don’t have to start from scratch.
