Need help setting up account

    We want to set up the Business Plan. When we go to complete the order we get a message that says: ‘Please use an email address not associated with the domain you are registering or modifying.’ The email is not associated with the domain, but we cannot move forward. These are our agency emails( they are through microsoft outlook. How can we move forward with our order?

  • Hi there! Just so I understand correctly, are you registering a new domain name in relation to your Business plan purchase?

    This type of error comes up if (for example) you’re registering mycustomdomainname.com and setting the owner contact address as ” myname @ mycustomdomainname.com “.

    It’s generally a security measure to ensure that if the domain has a problem (and therefore can’t correctly receive emails), then the domain owner can still be contacted.

    Normally this notice shouldn’t come up if you’re either not registering a new domain, or just connecting your existing domain to your WordPress.com plan/account!

    If need be, you could remove any domain registrations which are currently showing in your cart/checkout screen, and proceed with the Business plan purchase only. You can always add the domain after the purchase is complete!
