Need help setting up an admin User-if possible

  • Unknown's avatar

We tried to open a GSuite Acct through W.P., but we used an email address we didn’t want linked so we hastily tried to cancel the GSuite we purchased to start fresh.
GSuite Support stated it need not be cancelled (On their end, it just showed as temporarily suspended through W.P.), but also said there was no main user tied to the GSuite account which is why we can’t link GS & W.P.
My question is how can we create a WordPress Admin user for the GSuite acct? GS Support mentioned WP could create one, but can the user do so also?
Super confusing, but yeah – it was a mistake to request refund of the gsuite so quickly before trying an alternate solution, but W.P. does NOT communicate on the weekend!
(Anyone know of their contact Ph #?). Thanks for any tips on this!

  • Hi there,

In order to have a G Suite account with WordPress.com, you need a custom domain connected to your site. The account you’re using to post here does not own any domains, and has never purchased G Suite from us.

For what domain did you purchase G Suite, and as what username? If you purchased G Suite from us and then cancelled it, that G Suite account has been removed from our reseller account. The only way to keep using that G Suite account is to set up a payment option directly with Google and to add any additional licences/users with them. It’s not possible to move the account back to our system once removed.

To reconnect the account to your domain, see:
