Need help sizing photos: new media upload
-
I have had a wordpress blog for over four years. When I’d upload photos, it was very easy, and I had the option of choosing “medium” or “full size,” which meant that the image would fit the width of the post. Now with the changes to the media upload feature, I can no longer do that and can only post much too small or much too large photos that don’t fit. Can someone from wordpress please help me figure this out? I have tried cropping the photos but I still cannot upload a photo that looks normal. It used to be so easy, I don’t know why this was changed.

You can control the size of images for thumb, medium, large, (full will be limited by your theme) for all future uploads/post settings:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/media-settings/#limit-width
see the diagram:

-
In order to choose the thumb, medium, etc size for each image take a look here:
http://en.support.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/image-settings1.png
on the red 7 where you choose thumb, medium and so on.
Here is the support document where this diagram appears: -
I hope this helped? The same functions (plus others) are still there, but in a different format.
