Need help sorting out my website
-
I am trying setup my recording studio website to have it look professional advertising my services. I also want to add sum animation to the menus.
Here is an example of what i am trying to accomplish. http://www.jamplified.com/ -
Hi there, I see that you have selected to not use any of the existing CSS at Customize > CSS. Starting from scratch with the CSS is a monumental task. I’m not sure of your CSS experience, but in general this sort of thing needs a good bit of CSS experience.
If you are wanting to have something that looks similar to the site you reference, I might suggest looking for a different theme than Twenty Fourteen. Hero comes to mind, but the slider at the top does not auto advance, and that isn’t something we can change with CSS. Hero gives you 4 areas on the front page template. The full width section right below the slider, and then three “promo” sections which you can set at Customize > Home Promos.
Superhero does auto advance, but the slider will only appear on the “blog” posts page, not on a static front page.

I might also suggest taking a look at Edin. On the front page template, you can set up child pages of that page which will appear in a grid below the front page’s featured image at the top.
In addition, it has a “grid” page template that will show all child pages of that page in a grid below the featured image.
