Need help starting a new site.

    Hi,

    I already have one WordPress site. I did not design it, it was designed by a web developer. I currently use thrive architect which I like and for me it is easy to use. I would like to use thrive architect builder with my new site as well.

    What I need help with:

    I have purchased a domain name with my hosting provider. I want to stay with my hosting provider not move to wordpress hosting. I want to build a new site and have my domain point to my new site. I just need to know where I go to create my new site. A must have is a current theme not an outdated one. Preferably created in 2020.

    I also need to know if I should have a one off paid theme or can I choose a free theme? It is for my writing and editing business so I need a very clean site. Another question is do I go to my current hosting provider and get them to point somewhere first or do I need to create the site first and then go to my provider?

    I already have a CPS panel, a hosting plan and so on. I am fine with the actual creating and building of the site, it is just getting it started that I have issues with.

    On these forums we are only able to help with sites created here, on WordPress.com. Since you want to stay with your current hosting provider, you will want to create your site using the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org.
