If you haven’t registered a wordpress.com blog yet see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
You need to create an export file of your blogspot.com blog contents http://support.google.com/blogger/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=97416 and then follow these instractions to import that content file into your wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

Hi timethief,
I already did everything you mentioned (figured out how by looking it up) but as my blog thepointofthequill.wordpress.com has my info from my old blog imported, etc. I had gone on with the importing but didn’t put in email or password. I would like to get back into my blog when needed! Can you help me? -
-
Thanks, timethief, I did that.
raincoaster; my old blog at blogspot I switched over to wordpress.com -
are you still there, timethief? Just wanting to put in an accurate password. Can you help? Thanks.

No. I already got the wxm file to export blogger to wordpress, authorized blogger to export my old blog, exported it, got a new jpg image for my header, imported that, chose a them, and imported all of my information. My site is thepointofthequill.wordpress.com. However the registration page won’t alloy my to update my password. I would like to update my password, make sure all info is set for wordpresss to send me info as noted, agree to the points and then upload the them that I would like to use for my site.

I would like to update my password
Here’s how to change your password > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/
make sure all info is set for wordpresss to send me info as noted
There are two main types of email notifications that you’ll receive from WordPress.com. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/
agree to the points and then upload the them that I would like to use for my site.
I’m sorry but I don’t have clue what you mean by that so I flagged this thread for Staff attention.

You cannot upload themes to a WordPress.com blog. You can choose from the themes on your Dashboard Theme page only.

Thanks, timethieves, I guess I’m one of your thieves. ;) Would you mind taking a look at my uploaded (as is) blog at thepointofthequill.wordpress.com? It has some things about writing with disease (coping with chemo et al) but is mostly on writing. The tag line and posts follow; about 14 that I moved over. Please let me know if you can find it as well. Thank you timethieves, I appreciate all of your help. Lee

I think we are experiencing a commenucation problem.
Did all of your content get imported or not?
Yes or No.Do you have an import issue of any kind?
Yes or No.Do you have any outstanding issues you need help with?
Yes or No?If the answer is yes then please clearly state exactly what you need help with.

The only import issue I have is wanting to pull up from my harddrive a word press theme as it has all of the widgets in it. You already gave me an answer to the password question.
-
The theme was free and I got it from Paul Crowe’s site and was marked as free; one of the reasons I left blogger and came over to wordpress.

You will not be able to do that.
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
The only themes we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs are lcated here > Appearance > ThemesThere is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com that changes anything stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and restated again here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/#important-notes-before-upgrading
The only widgets you can use must be either these ones supplied by wordpress.com http://en.support.wordpress.com/topic/widgets-sidebars/
or third party widgets with pure HTML – no Javascript – no iframes. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ -

I’m not upset with you and I’ve been where you have been. I’m a cancer survivor. Best wishes with your health as well as your blog. :)
