Need help taking over a site after administrator’s death

  Hi,
  

  I want to take over the management of a site after the death of the administrator. I have the administrator’s death certificate and a document signed by the board of our association SPQR designating me as the new administrator.
  What steps should I take?

  I already did what the page describes but the reply to my mail to help@wordpress.com was “open a new forum thread”.
