need help taking this down – not a site we use and not sure if we still pay for…

    this is an old site/account we don’t use anymore – I inherited the management, and only just discovered this still existed. the person who started it is long gone, and we have no way of getting login info or any of that stuff, we just want it taken down. the new website that we DO actually use and update is this one: http://www.AMPplaybook.com – would love any help

    And again it was set up SO long ago, and has been untouched, that I don’t have any way to claim it to take it down. I work at Pandora, I manage the CURRENT site – but again the person who set this up and took care of it is at least 4 years gone… thanks for the help! – Andee

    Thanks for that information. Since this site is not associated with the account you’re currently logged into, you’ll need to go through our account recovery process.

    If you have the transaction IDs from charges on this account, you can use the Account Recovery form to prove ownership of the site, then WordPress.com support can help you from there. You can find that form here:

    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

    Just fill out as much information as you have, including an email address where Support can get in touch. The transaction ID will be on your bank statement as WordPress followed by a letter/number code. They’ll look like this:

    WordPress XXXXXXXXXX

    For this particular site, there was a charge in August 2017 that you can use here. Unfortunately, we’re not able to give out any more information about the charge than that.

    PLEASE HELP!!! i can’t do the recovery process because we have NO documentation. it was set up years ago by someone who is GONE, and that information is lost. what can we do to take it down? it is outdated information, very misleading for customers, and we need it taken down. please help if you can, or put me in touch with someone who can potentially help. thank you.

    We are not able to help here in the support forums, as verifying account ownership requires us to ask you to provide info that is best not shared in this public venue.

    With this in mind, you will need to fill out this form here to the best of your ability: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

    This will send all the info you have to our account recovery team, and from there they will contact you directly to assist you in regaining access to the account that owns the site you are trying to access.

    Note: If you do not have the proofs asked for in that form, you can choose the Transaction ID and enter a random string of numbers to allow you to send the form.
