Need help to create a website

    Hi team,

    I have an existing blog with Blogger, with AdSense activated and have also purchased a domain. I would like to create a website here in WordPress keeping my blogs name and AdSense account unchanged.

    To be able to use AdSense here, on WordPress.com, you’d need a plugin and those are available on plan Business:

    You could, however, start off with Premium joining our own ads program:

    You’ll be able to either transfer or map your domain to your site. The transfer is included in the price of the plan and you would only start paying for the domain registration from the second year.     Mapping is free with any paid plan.

    Hi there,

    Thank you so much for your reply.

    I would be needing help throughout to transfer/migrate the whole thing into WordPress as I am a complete non-technical person.

    Can I get any email support/chat support/phone support for this whole process or is this the only way to get in touch to the support team?

    Also, is there any specific rule (SEO related) that I need to keep in mind while selecting the template as I am keen to monetise the blog?

    Hi there,

    Thanks so much for the links. Before getting started, I would like to clear out some doubts/queries. Those are as follows :

    1. During the transition phase, will my blog be in a viewable condition?

    2. Since I am looking for a new theme as well, how will the imported contents get mapped or synced to the new one?

    3. Do I need to apply for AdSense once again after the migration if I take the Business Plan?

    4. How will the price of the theme be charged monthly or yearly? In all, before getting started, what all will I have to pay for? Will there be any hidden charges?

    5. If I transfer my domain to WordPress, how will the price get adjusted with my existing Domain Registrar as the renewal date is quite far away from now. What could be the possible pros and cons if I stay with the same registrar?

    It would really be helpful to get all the doubts cleared before stepping any further.

    1. You can make it private: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/

    2. It just comes in as raw content, the theme takes care of the appearance.

    3. If you keep the same domain name, you shouldn’t have to.

    4. We have hundred of free themes. Our commercial themes are one price for the lifetime of the theme, but under the Business plan you also get free unlimited access to all themes. No hidden charges

    5. If you transfer the domain to us, we’ll add another year on top of its existing registration.
