Need Help to Fix Critical Issues Under Site Health Status

  • Unknown's avatar

When I go to the WordPress dashboard and select ‘Tools’ –> ‘Site Health Status’, 3 critical issues are detected and I need your help please, to fix the following 2 issues related to ‘Performance’:

    (1) ‘An active PHP session was detected’
‘A PHP session was created by a session_start() function call. This interferes with REST API and loopback requests. The session should be closed by session_write_close() before making any HTTP requests.’

    (2) ‘The REST API encountered an error’
‘The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.

The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received (http_request_failed)’

Can you please help me to fix these?

  • Hi there,

Your site is made using the open source WordPress software, made by the community over on WordPress.org. That’s not the same thing as the hosting provider, WordPress.com, in whose forums you’re posting now. While your site is connected to your account with us via the Jetpack plugin, we don’t have any access to your dashboard, and no control over how your site works.

For help troubleshooting these errors, please ask the WordPress.org community instead at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/. You’ll need to register an account on WordPress.org before you’ll be able to post in those forums.
