Need Help to Fix Fatal Errors caused by theme.

Hi community! I’m building my ecommerce website with: WordPress version 5.4.1, Current theme: OceanWP (version 1.8.3), Current plugin: Ocean Extra (version 1.6.3), PHP version 7.3.11, and Elementor Pro. Working with my checkout page, I enabled the ‘Side Bar’ in the ‘Scripts & Styles Panel’ of the ‘Theme Panel’. Then, WordPress notify me that a plugin or theme caused two fatal errors on my site:

    1. A critical error was caught in https://domain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=oceanwp-panel-scripts&settings-updated=true

    2. A critical error was caught in (https://domain.com/wp-login.php?interim-login=1&wp_lang=en_US)

Warning: require(/home/name/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/ wc-order-functions.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/name/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/wc-core-functions.php on line 23.

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/name/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/wc-order-functions.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/name/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/wc-core-functions.php on line 23.

I would appreciate any help to fix this! Some fields in the wordpress dashboard are acting weird. Thanks!

Request: Moderator, please delete the last two paragraphs from my topic. I posted them in error. Thanks!

  • Hi there!

I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ but, since this is caused by your theme, I would also suggest reaching out to their support.

http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
