need help to map my domain name registered with GoDaddy

  Sorry, but I really cannot follow your support instruction. My situation is that I registered whitherjapan.com with GoDaddy. I want to map to wordpress so that people can search and find whitherjapan.com instead of whitherjapan.wordpress.com. I try to add a domain name, but get a “not recognized” message.
  The support message says I should go to GoDaddy and change the DNS. I do not understand what this is or how to proceed.

  Your domain name servers are pointing to GoDaddy. You’ll need to update them from GoDaddy domain management page.
