Need help to renew domain quickly as can't access website

My website was set up by a website builder -domain has expired recently but I can’t renew it as I can’t contact him and don’t know his password! I do not know how to find all info from my site to start a new one

What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?
I’m asking because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting. And, that is why we are all prompted to provide the relevant URL when we create a new thread.

My research provides this result: wwwjuelleri.co.uk is not registered yet.
A google search does not turn up anything for that URL.

Thank you! Yes my site stopped coming up on Google and I couldn’t access it a few weeks ago when the year was up for the domain. I know the email address for the person who built it and presume that’s where the emails warning that it was about to expire have been sent. Hoping someone can help me retrieve it Thanks for your help.

Do you understand that there is a sole owner of every site and it is the person whose username account registered the site? As you have the email address of the site’s owner I suggest you contact them directly.

Yes I did but he’s moved away and not contactable so if only he can renew the domain and I have to start a new website I don’t know how I would get to all the informat ion I had on there to start a new one or whether it is lost and in that case it would cost too much to pay for another one

It will be difficult to assist you if you do not remember the account or the WordPress.com URL that the domain was connected to. As @Timethief mentioned, juelleri.co.uk is not registered. I don’t see it ever being connected to WordPress.com site either.

Hi thanks for your reply -my site was created in 2013 by Karl Croft on WordPress. The name was ElleJewellery but in March last year Karl changed it to juELLEri -I got into the site using my username elle and my password or my email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) until a few weeks ago when I presume the domain name lapsed -Karl’s email was (email visible only to moderators and staff) and his company was Geek Squad Thanks

I found the site under juELLEri username/account, however, I did not see any domain that had lapsed. There is no record or any upgrade under this account. However, since juelleri.co.uk is currently available, I would log into the account and register the domain.
There is nothing under Karl’s account either, so you should be able to start fresh with the domain under your account.
Is it a matter of not knowing the password for the juELLEri account? If you have access to the e-mail, you can reset the password here:

Hi thank you! I’m so pleased you have found it -I have changed password as the lost password reset went to my Gmail email address (that address came up as email redacted in my last message) – if I can register the domain and pay will I then be able to see the website as I used to with all my jewellery on or do I have to register the domain then create the website again? Sorry as you can probably tell I haven’t a clue about this!! Thanks again for your time

Yes, you can register the domain under your juELLEri account and attach it to your WordPress.com site under that account. I’d create the site first if you have not already and then go ahead and register the domain.
