Need help to transfer my .com from Godaddy to wordpress

  Not sure of all the settings to properly make the transfer. I have a domain thru godaddy which has a squarespace website attached. I am replacing the square space site with the wordpress site and transferring the .com to wordpress to manage. I have the new site ready to replace the other but I want to make sure that I don’t loose anything.

  Hi there,

  Right now we cannot accept incoming domain transfers. However, you can leave the domain registered with GoDaddy and map the domain to your WordPress.com site with these steps:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  When you get to step #2, here are instructions for changing name servers at GoDaddy:

  https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/12317/setting-custom-nameservers-for-domains-registered-with-us
