Need help transferring a Domain to WordPress.

  My existing Domain host needs someone from WordPress to request a Domain transfer so that I can transfer my Domain to WordPress. They have provided me with an authorization code.

  WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers.

  Sry this may be a dumb question but what is the difference between accepting and incoming domain transfer and taking one you already own and mapping it to work press? It sound like the same thing to me…

  Also, does it matter if you are self-hosting wordpress?
