Need help understanding existing site

Hi, I am looking for some help to understand how I can edit the content of a site that I have picked up the administration for – it sort of fell to me in my team because nobody else wanted to figure it out and the original developers are unavailable.

Basically I have looked at every page available within the WordPress admin (including ensuring I have every possible permission on my account) but the content is not editable through the standard Pages > Edit and the content in the edit page does not reflect content available on the site (as I understand this is likely due to the theme being applied after) but even the actual text/images don’t correlate, and on top of that if I make changes in the edit section I can ‘save’ but I cannot ‘publish’ and the live site does not change on a save.

This led me to believe I was perhaps logging in to the wrong portal on a multi-wordpress server, but searching the server I can only find the one installation/config file on the server.

In a previous site I edited, the issue was a page editor Elementor that I wasn’t aware of how to use and had an issue in it (which I eventually resolved), but in this site that plugin is not installed and from what I can see, no page editor plugin is installed.

Here is a screenshot of my portal options:

And here is a picture of my plugins:

And help/guidance/support on how to actually access the pages content would be hugely appreciated.

It looks your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but is selfhosted and using the open source wordpress.org. To get further help, you must head over to https://wordpress.org/
