Need help with 2 factor authentication

  Hi there, I have 2 factor authentication set up on my site but no longer have my SIM card as I moved countries. I can verify via my connected email that this account is mine. How can I remove my 2FA so that I can log into my account from my other devices again?

  Hi there,

  I take it you don’t have the backup codes either, correct?

  In that case, please email passwordhelp[at]wordpress.com from the email address for this account, and our account recovery team can help you with a single-use code to disable 2FA on your account.

  As an aside, I checked your account and see you have a recovery number set, but it’s the same as your primary number. When you set up 2FA again, make sure to set a different number as your recovery number. That way you have an alternative method to get a code should you find yourself in this situation again :)

  I don’t have them saved anywhere as far as I can remember. Thank you, I have emailed in now asking for a single-use code. Thank you, I only had one phone number at the time but will be sure to add two different ones in case I need it! I appreciate your help :) have a great day

  Yeah, you can add the backup number of a trusted friend or a relative who could help you if needed :)
