Need help with adding featured images

  Hello,

  We always seem to have problems with adding a featured image, for example at the minute, the featured image shows-up on the blog post but above it on the main heading- there is just a blank space. Do you
  1. have to have the featured image in the post before adding it as featured?
  2. does it need to be formatted in any particular way
  3. have any tips on adding featured images or has anyone else had this problem and have an idea of what to do?

  A featured image won’t show up if it’s narrower than the required dimensions. See here:
