Need help with blog home page.

  Ok guys, on my home page, there is a box which says thank you for visiting and and stay in touch with RSS blah blah. How do i get rid of that and write something else there??

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Go to appearance > widgets, and if you want nothing to appear there, drag a blank text widget over and into the “header” widget area on the right.

  The one thing I’ll mention is that this will leave a small horizontal lighter colored block across that area. There is nothing that can be done about that unless you have CSS editing experience and the paid CSS upgrade. Probably not worth it just to get rid of that small horizontal block.
