Need help with blog page
-
I am using a purchased theme but their response is slow. My front page does not have a name, it is not listed under pages. The way I edit the page is to use “Appearance” and then “Widgets” and I can customize the page there. Because of this I must have my site set to “your home page displays=your latest post” I can not choose “Static page” because there is no front page listed. This does not allow me to have a blog page and if I post a blog they all go to their own page, its like adding a web page.

I’d be happy to help :) Can I get a site address (URL) to be able and help you further? Let me know, thanks!

https://crtnhomes.com/hello-world/Response from templete developer:
You can use a static page if you want to otherwise the homepage is controlled using the widget areas found under Appearance → Widgets. To create a Blog page you just need to apply the Blog template to a page you have created. You should see the template options for Blog, Community, and Landing page available under the publish and update section.Based on what the developer said I made a few test and used the “Blog” template. My setting says to show full article of each blog. I guess what it is doing now will work, but I wanted to see the blog be on the same page unless this way is better for SEO.
Thank You alissonwp for responding so quickly. I am going to step away from my computer for a few hours. If you have any advice I’d like to hear what you think!

I apologize but you are using the wrong forum center. You need to know the difference between WordPress.com, and WordPress.org, because they aren’t the same forums. Each have different but some same features. If you still don’t understand, read on.
You are on WordPress.com Forums, when you would need to be on WordPress.org forums, for this request, as it is for hosted sites, and not for “self” hosted sites under their own hosts.
Basically, they have they have the same name, but the difference is .org, and .com, and have different options in each. Also, WordPress.com, is where everything is done for you, and WordPress.org, where you are able to manage your servers, etc.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
I have some links that may be useful:
— WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
— WordPress.org Forums
— WordPress.org Support Site
We’re so sorry we couldn’t assist you further, and wish you success on your site.
