need help with blog: vandenboschmassage.nl

    hi, i need help with my blog vandenboschmassage.nl. Recently i downgraded to the free plan and after a few weeks I saw that the layout i first had with the Nishita theme, had changed completely. I do not know what happened. I thought that nishita theme was a free theme. What should i do now. Because i do not like the layout at the moment. Thanking you in advance. Kind regards

    You’re right: Nishita is indeed a free theme. I see that your blog is currently on it, as well. Is there any specific part of the theme that you need help with?

    Hi Sarah,

    All colors I have used with the background, the fonts, etc dissapeared, I do not know what happened and how i can get back the layout as it was 2 weeks ago.

    Am I right in understanding that you used the Custom Design feature to change your background colors and fonts? Custom Design only works for premium plans, and since you downgraded, you lost this feature, as well, and Nishita goes back to its original form. This is most likely be the reason why you lost your customizations.

    Dear Sarah,

    Thanks for your anwer, problably i used Custom Design. And by downgrading i lost the customizations.

    Now i want back to premium. However the person who helped my to start (set?) up the website, [Redacted] (first administrator) does not want to help me. With the set up of the website he was the one who subscribed with his email address and password. And he paid with his creditcard.
    Now he tells me that I myself can upgrade again to premium. But i do not have a credit card.

    I seems that he is still in charge of everything, and i can not do or change anything. Do you understand what the problem is.

    My idea is to kick [Redacted] as administrator of the website and that I (as the full owner of the website and the company!) get back in fully charge. Then still, how to pay without a credit card.

    I hope you can help me.

    I found out about the custom design and now i understand what happened.

    In the future i will pay for the premium theme, and then i will use pay pal .

    I need the email address of wordpress.com in order to make the payment. What is the email address?

    And the last question: can i kick out the administrator. I tried , but wordpress anwered that it is not possible to remove [Redacted].

    Hi!

    What kind of User Role do you have? And what kind does Theo have?

    If Theo is the Blog Owner (because he set up the blog), he needs to transfer the ownership to you. He should be able to do it easily since he won’t be helping you in the future. https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

    If, for some reason, he can’t do that either, perhaps you can ask the WordPress staff if they will do this for you. To alert the WordPress staff, please tag this thread with “modlook” and wait patiently for them to get to this thread.

    Hi Astrid,

    You can use one of the accepted Payment Methods to upgrade this site on the Plans page. You can follow the instructions on the checkout page to make a payment using your PayPal account there.

    And the last question: can i kick out the administrator. I tried , but wordpress anwered that it is not possible to remove [Redacted].

    To remove the person who created the site, that person will need to log in to their WordPress.com account and Transfer the Site to Another WordPress.com Account, as sarahcada mentioned. It isn’t possible to remove the current owner of the site without having them transfer ownership to another account first.

    Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

    Mr. [Redacted] is not willing to cooperate. So the problem is not solved yet. I hope you, as a staff member can help me.

    Hi Astrid,

    Staff is unable to make changes to the owner of a blog, or remove the blog owner from the blog, without a request from the current blog owner. Mr [Redacted] will need to confirm your request to transfer ownership of the blog to you (either by contacting us directly or replying here) before we can make any changes.
