Need help with changing URL

  I have a blog: newyorkdancefestival2014.wordpress.com I wanted to change it to kaleidoscopedancetheatreblog.wordpress.com. I created a new blog with that name before I knew you could change the URL inside the original blog’s wp-admin. So I deleted the new blog so the URL address would become available again. When I went back to the original blog to change the URL it still says the Kaleidoscopedancetheatreblog URL is still unavailable. How long does it take for the URL to be available again?

  Hello,
  Unfortunately, that URL can’t be reused, even though you were the one who originally created and deleted it. It’s the policy of WordPress.com not to allow blog names to be reused: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
