need help with clients’ page asap!

    I have yet to install wordpress. I am actually waiting to see if i really need to. I have never used WP, I am doing some SEO work for a new client whos website is based in wordpress. I have access to the dashboard on the web client, but have failed to see where i can download and upload html/ files to the directory. As i read on i figured i may need to actually install it on my computer. I did not build the site, and i am in contact with the person who is. so do i need to install WP to access the directory via ftp for example. Or can i just get the server info from the original developer and access all the data i will need? Also, anything else i may need to know about accessing someone else’s WP site would be great. THANKS!

    You may be in the wrong forum. WordPress.com software is not installed by you. WordPress.ORG software is. You cannot upload to the directory at WordPress.COM; you can at WordPress.ORG.

    Please read the sticky thread at the top of the forums on the differences between the two types to determine which it is that you are using. Without the URL of the blog, we can’t even guess.
